The figure is Fantastic Amazing and may I say (sorry Hulk) a beauty to behold.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 

Drax

Hot on the heels of Star-Lord is another Guardians of the Galaxy character, the loveable Drax. He's an alien, who is intent on avenging the death of his family.

He certainly looks like he's ready for action. Kitted out in New Rock boots and clutching a nasty looking blade, this is one of Eaglemoss's more colourful sculpts. Aside from the red leather trousers, and the luminous blue of Drax's skin, there's also the tattoo that covers a large portion of his body. Undoubtedly a tricky thing to pull off, there's no denying that Eaglemoss have accomplished this task, adding another successful rendition to their increasing line-up.

As your collection grows, with warriors and gods and scientists and villains, you really need a muscle-bound alien to add a bit of colour. Drax is another winner!

Captain America 

The Red Skull

 

More villainy from Eaglemoss this month, with the notorious Red Skull, chief super-villain of the first Captain America movie.

 

This particular figurine is absolutely lavish, with the Nazi-esque trench coat reaching down to Skull's ankles, and those shiny black boots that look freshly polished. Not a button or buckle is out of place. Even the Hydra symbol on his buckle is accurately detailed! This is one bad guy who knows how to dress, and Eaglemoss have certainly done him justice!

 

Red Skull's pose is suitably arch, as he victoriously clutches the Tesseract - an item of unimaginable power.

Guardians Of The Galaxy's 

STARLORD

Peter Jason Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a half-human who was abducted by the Ravagers. 

After his abduction, he began building a name ("Star-Lord") for himself as a legendary outlaw, eventually becoming the founder and leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy team.

This is all in all a very good figure of the cheeky ever popular Marvel character Star-lord (Peter Quill).

The detailing on his satchel and the lines of the jacket are exquisite. As with the Iron Man figure, Eaglemoss have taken the route of showing off their skills at facial details, opting to design the recognisable features of Chris Pratt, rather than Star-Lord's mask.

I am personally a little unsure of the 5 o'clock shadow, but all in all it is a very very nice piece.

As he says in the film.......

"a little bit of bad and a little bit of good"

Shield's 

NIK FURY

Colonel Nicholas "Nick" Joseph Fury is a former officer of the US Army and an espionage veteran of the CIA during the Cold War. He joined S.H.I.E.L.D., a covert international peace keeping organisation which operates as humanity's first line of defence against 

Earth's most dangerous enemies. 

He quickly impressed S.H.I.E.L.D.'s higher-ups, and was promoted to the position of Director, becoming the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. He led S.H.I.E.L.D. for years, spearheading the Avengers Initiative, Project T.A.H.I.T.I., Project Insight, and other operations.

This figurine is of fantastic quality.  Fury's trademark trench coat looks like it is actually blowing in the breeze, and there's the unmistakable look on his face as he gazes down the barrel of his Smith & Wesson M&P. Once again, it isn't just about the attention to detail of the characters appearance-wise. Eaglemoss have also managed to contain the attitude of Nik Fury here. The figurine simply oozes that Samuel L. Jackson swagger, and I personally think this is one of their best figures so far!

An absolute must for any Marvel fan!

Loki

The first batch of figurines from the Marvel Movie Collection not only include five of the biggest characters from the Marvel movie Universe, but they also represent a statement of intent for Eaglemoss. And that intent is to provide maximum quality for the fans at an affordable price.

Try standing Thor next to Loki for full effect. The fifth figurine is also the first villain, and here, we get Loki in full villainous get-up. Gripping his mighty scythe, and leering down with an evil grimace on his face, Eaglemoss have certainly done justice to Loki. It's not just about capturing the likeness with these figurines, it's about capturing the essence of the characters. This is never more readily apparent than here. 

Once more, the design and the colours of the outfit are stunning, and he looks even more dastardly with the horned helmet upon his head. The detail on Loki's armour is incredible, and will certainly survive the scrutiny of the die-hard fans.

A purchase worthy of the God of Evil himself.

Thor

Thor is probably the best of the figurines to date. Maybe it's the red cape, gorgeously sculpted to look as realistic as possible. Or maybe it's the pose of Thor himself, standing reading for action with his ever-reliable hammer clutched in his right hand. It's an iconic stance, made all the more vibrant by the detail on his battle gear. Again, the actor Chris Hemsworth's face is excellently captured and instantly recognisable. All in all, an imposing addition to the Marvel collection.


Judging by the sheer quality of these releases, I cannot wait to see where Eaglemoss go next with this figurines. Oozing personality as much as attention-to-detail, these are an absolute must for any Marvel fan's collection.

CAPTAIN AMERICA

Captain America is of course a fan-favourite, and much like with Tony Stark, here with have the Captain sans mask so that Chris Evans' recognisable features are on show. With a more simplistic costume than Iron Man, the focus of Captain America's figurine lies more in the vibrancy of the colours. His famous shield simply sings with that classic design. The detail of the Captain's face is also a success, with his nobility in the face of evil shining through, as do his sky-blue eyes.

Character, personality, and likeness all captured perfectly.

This figurine definitely a 'MARVEL TO BEHOLD' and does true justice to

The Star Spangled Man With A Plan...

BLACK WIDOW

Black Widow is the second release, in a striking pose from the second Captain America film. Beautifully crafted, from the flowing red hair to the slender shape of her figure, this is a particularly impressive model. The level of detail that has gone into her costume alone is worthy of praise. Nothing has been overlooked, whether it be the gunstraps on her thighs or the individual compartments of her utility belt.


Judging by the sheer quality of these releases, I cannot wait to see where Eaglemoss go next with this figurines. Oozing personality as much as attention-to-detail, these are an absolute must for any Marvel fan's collection.

Tony Stark 

Iron Man

The first batch of figurines from the Marvel Movie Collection not only include five of the biggest characters from the Marvel movie Universe, but they also represent a statement of intent for Eaglemoss. And that intent is to provide quality for the fans at an affordable price.

Starting off with Iron Man, we get Tony Stark in action-pose mode, clutching his famous mask in his hands rather than wearing it. The colouring of the Iron Man costume is brilliant, with the bronzed look of the movies spot on. Every panel, every facet, is movie-perfect.

The likeness to Downey Jr. is absolutely spot-on, and it was a brave move on the part of Eaglemoss to actually attempt a sculpt of one of the most famous faces in superhero movies, as opposed to just sticking the mask on his head. 

A bold and successful start to the series!
